Shizuoka Tea Suppliers
Offering premium selected tea
from Shizuoka, Japan
Introduction
Japanese tea, particularly green tea, is globally renowned for its health benefits and cultural significance. Despite the increasing international demand, domestic tea production in Japan, especially in the Shizuoka-Chubu region, is facing challenges. The aging population of tea farmers and the reduction in tea cultivation have resulted in numerous abandoned plantations. To address this issue, the Shizuoka city government is launching an initiative to tap into the expanding overseas market, beginning with the United States.
Tea from Shizuoka
Our suppliers aim to introduce high-quality Japanese tea to the U.S. market. They provide an extensive range of tea products from the Shizuoka-Chubu Interconnected City Bloc, including Shizuoka City, Shimada City, Yaizu City, Fujieda City, Makinohara City, Yoshida Town, and Kawane Honmachi.
Bay Area Tea Exhibit
On November 8-9, 2024, Shizuoka city government organized a tea exhibit in San Francisco, introducing high quality Japanese tea to local tea vendors. The exhibit engaged a diverse audience of tea specialty stores, cafes, hotels, wholesalers, supermarkets, and trading companies. Attendees participated in discussions and tastings to learn about the unique features and origins of each tea.

Tastings and Business Negotiations
Please contact our suppliers for tea samples and detailed presentations about the products. By highlighting the rich heritage and superior quality of Japanese tea, the Shizuoka city government hopes to attract significant interest and secure valuable business partnerships in the international market.
